2 Brothers Charged in Road-Rage Shooting of 3-year-old
Two teenage brothers face charges for a road rage shooting in north St. Louis that left a 3-year-old boy critically wounded.
Charges of first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and four counts of armed criminal action were filed Monday against 18-year-old William Hampton and 17-year-old Jerry Hampton. Both are jailed on $200,000 cash-only bond.
Police say the child's father's car and another car nearly collided Saturday. The father rolled down his window and said something.
Police say Jerry Hampton fired a shot that struck the child in the head. The father drove to the hospital, where the child is in critical and unstable condition.
On June 14, another 3-year-old, a girl, was grazed in the head in a road rage shooting in north St. Louis.
