Two people were killed in a head-on vehicle collision early Thursday morning in Carroll County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck just after 6:00, on Highway 65 just north of Municipal Drive.

According to the online crash report, a 2010 Dodge Ram crossed the center line on the roadway and struck a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu head-on.  After the impact, the Dodge traveled off the right side of the road and struck two mailboxes before coming to rest. The Chevy came to rest in the northbound lane of Highway 65.

The driver of the Chevy, 62-year old Esther M. Gregg, of Carrollton, and a passenger, 45-year old Spencer T. Alexander, of Norborne, MO, were killed in the wreck. Both were taken to Bittiker Funeral Home in Carrollton.

The driver of the Dodge, 51-year old Monty J. Isaacs, of Bogard, MO, suffered moderate injuries. He was taken to Carroll County Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The report indicates all three people were wearing safety devices. The Dodge and Chevy were totaled and towed.
