Two people were injured Tuesday afternoon in a vehicle wreck that occurred on US-50 at Route MM in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident at 3:40, as a Chrysler 200 was westbound when it experienced an equipment failure, which caused it to slow down in the middle of the road. A 2012 Kia then struck the rear of the Chrysler.

The driver of the Kia, 60-year old Katherine G. Noe, of Knob Noster, suffered minor injuries. She was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center by PCAD for treatment.

The driver of the Chrysler, 51-year old Todd C. Rucker, of DeSoto, KS, also received minor injures but he reportedly refused treatment at the scene.

Both drivers were wearing safety. The vehicles sustained moderate damage and towed.
