2 Injured in Sedalia Wreck Near Thompson Blvd

Two drivers were injured Monday morning after the vehicles collided near Thompson Blvd in Sedalia.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck at approximately 11:30, on Highway Y at Thompson Blvd.

According to the online crash report, a 2016 Chevy Cruz attempted to make a left turn but failed to yield to a 2013 Ford, causing to the Ford to strike the side of the Chevy.

The driver of the Ford, 87-year old Arlene F. Schlesselman, of Cole Camp, suffered minor injuries. She was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.

The driver of the Chevy, 18-year old Madalyn G. McKay, of Booneville, suffered minor injuries. She reportedly declined treatment.

Both drivers were wearing safety devices.

The Patrol was assisted by Sedalia Police.
