Three residents from California, MO were recently arrested after authorities found meth and a stolen firearm at a residence.

According to a press release from the Moniteau County Sheriff's Department, deputies were serving a civil summons at a residence on String Creek Road just outside California, MO on Wednesday (Apr 25).

After making contact with a resident, 21-year old Abigail M. Heilend, deputies reportedly observed drug paraphernalia in plain view. According to the report, deputies were granted a consent to search the residence, and located methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm that had been reported stolen.

After speaking with another subject at the residence, 21-year old Chad B. Osborne, deputies reportedly located a hidden container on his person which contained currency and methamphetamine.

A third subject at the residence, Kyra L. Hankey, was found to be out on bond, from Moniteau County, for Possession of Controlled Substances. According to the report, Hankey tested positive for methamphetamine and was taken into custody on violation of bond.

Heiland faces charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth), Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, with a total bond of $26,000.

Osborne faces a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth).

Heiland and Osborne were arrested and taken to the Moniteau County Jail to await formal charges.
