3-Year-Old Loses Both Parents in Accident

A 3-year-old Missouri boy has been left without parents after both his mother and father died in a vehicle accident.

The Springfield News-Leader reports that 24-year-old Bryce Ash and 23-year-old Kalena Freitas died Wednesday in an accident near the town of Cabool in southern Missouri. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the 3-year-old was also in the car but suffered only minor injuries thanks to his car seat.

The patrol’s crash report says the family’s 2010 Dodge Avenger skidded on a wet roadway and hit an oncoming vehicle. Both occupants of the other vehicle were injured, but specific details about their injuries were not available.
