A Benton County Teenager Was Injured in a One-Vehicle Accident Tuesday Afternoon

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident Tuesday afternoon in Benton County.

The accident occurred just after 3:30, on Old U.S. 65 at Kenper Road.

The driver of a 2000 Toyota Avalon lost control of the vehicle on a gravel road, causing the Toyota to begin an uncontrolled skid. The vehicle crossed the center of the roadway, and then traveled off the rightside of the road, where it overturned and came to rest, on its top.

The driver, identified as 19-year old Ciara L. Dreissler, of Lincoln, suffered minor injuries in the accident and was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center by EMS, for treatment.

According to the report, the Toyota Avalon sustained extensive damage.
