A LaMonte Teenager was injured in a Vehicle Accident Monday Afternoon

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident that sent a LaMonte teenager to the hospital Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred just after 4:00, on Martin Road, just west of Higgins Street, in Pettis County.

The driver of a 2004 Saturn Ion was traveling westbound, when she attempted to avoid a deer in the roadway. The vehicle travelled off the right side of the road and overturned.

The driver, 17-year old Ryann S. Allain, of LaMonte, suffered moderate injuries in the accident. She was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.

According to the report, the Saturn Ion was totaled in the accident.
