A Sedalia Resident was Flown to a Springfield Hospital Friday Night After Being Injured in a Vehicle Accident
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle injury accident Friday night in Benton County, that resulted in a Sedalia resident being flown to a Springfield Hospital for treatment.
The accident occurred around 8:30 Friday night in Benton County, on US-65 at Route T.
A 2015 Ford Explorer was traveling south on Highway 65 and a 2001 Dodge was turning west on Route T. The Dodge failed to yield and struck the Ford.
The driver of the Ford, 62-year old Micky G. Cornelison, of Kansas City, MO, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital by Warsaw/Lincoln EMS, for treatment.
An occupant in the Dodge, 34-year old Justin W. Miller, of Sedalia, was taken, by Life Flight, to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, for the treatment of moderate injuries.
According to the crash report, the Ford Explorer had extensive damage and the Dodge was totaled.
