A Vehicle Accident in Benton County Results in Serious Injuries for One Man

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident that sent a Warsaw man to the hospital.

The accident occurred just after 2:00, Wednesday afternoon in Benton County at Highway BB and Woodland Road.

A 2004 Jeep crossed the center of the roadway, where it travelled off the left side of the road and hit an embankment and struck a tree.

The driver of the Jeep, identified as 74-year old Robert G. Zimmerman, suffered serious injuries in the wreck and was life flighted to Columbia for treatment.
