The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle injury accident, Monday evening in Henry County, that sent four people to area hospitals.

The accident occurred just before 7:00, on Missouri Highway 52. A 2000 Chevrolet crossed the center line of the roadway, and struck a 2000 Pontiac, head on. The Chevy then traveled off the left side of the road and overturned, ejecting all three occupants.

The driver of the Chevy, 32-year old Jeffrey S. Stephens, of Clinton, suffered the most serious injuries in the accident. He was taken to Research Medical Center, by Air EMS, for treatment. Two other people in the Chevy, Brenden and Brooklyn Stephens, both of Clinton, MO, suffered moderate injuries, and were taken to Children’s Mercy Medical Center, for treatment.

The driver of the Pontiac, 58-year old Nancy A. Jurgensmeyer, of Montrose, MO, suffered minor injuries. She was taken to Golden Valley Hospital, by Ellott Memorial EMS, for treatment.

According to report, both vehicles were totaled in the accident.
