A Woman Escapes After Abduction

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) — A woman who was abducted in Cape Girardeau has managed to escape in Illinois. A woman told the FBI and Cape Girardeau police that she was sitting in her car in South County Park Tuesday morning when a man physically forced her into his pickup. She said that the suspect drove for several hours and assaulted her before she was able to escape in Effingham that day.
