Female suspect arrested for trespassing and unlawful use of a weapon Sunday
According to a Pettis County Sheriff’s Report Deputies arrested Jessica Jones in the 1500 block of Crestview Drive early Sunday morning. The report states Jones faces charges of trespassing, unlawful use of a weapon, resisting arrest, and assault on a law enforcement officer. Bond on the charges was set at $7500.
21-year-old Smithton man arrested for littering
At 2:14 Tuesday afternoon during a traffic stop by Pettis County deputies. 21-year-old Brandon Ede of Smithton was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of Morgan County for littering. Bond on the warrant was $150 cash only.
Traffic stop results in multiple charges for two suspects Tuesday
Just after midnight Tuesday morning Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a vehicle in the 3800 block of East Broadway. During the stop deputies requested a K9 Unit to assist. As a result of an investigation 31-year-old Kyle N. Richards of Sedalia and 27-year-old Jessica Williams of Sedalia were arrested. The Sheriff’s report states Richards was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, no proof of insurance, no seat belt, tampering with evidence, and failure to register as a sex offender. Williams faces charges of possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance inside a jail facility, no seat belt, and failure to yield to oncoming traffic.
