Child Pornography Reported To Sedalia Police

Saturday morning Sedalia police received information concerning child pornography. According to the report naked pictures of a subject under the age of 18 were reportedly taken in the Lexington area. The police report states the incident was turned over to the proper agency.

Boyfriend punches girl in the face with his fist

At 10:16 Saturday night a female victim came to the police department to report her boyfriend had punched her 3 or 4 times in the face with his closed fist. The report states there were injuries to the victim. The suspect 21-year-old Garrett Green of Sedalia was located, and arrested on a charge of 3rd degree domestic assault. At the time of the police report Green was on 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.

53-year-old Sedalia man arrested on a domestic assault charge

At 11:22 Saturday morning 53-year-old Robert Billips was arrested for domestic assault. At the time of the report Billips was in the Pettis County jail on 24-hour hold pending state charges.

Theft complaint investigated in the 1600 block of Country Club Blvd

Around 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon Sedalia police took a theft complaint from a victim in the 1600 block of Country Club Blvd. According to the victim sometime between the 17th, and the 25th someone entered the house, and stole three air condition units valued at $900. There were no suspects.

29-year-old Sedalia man on 20-day hold after being arrested Friday night

At 8:15 Friday night Sedalia police arrested 29-year-old William Fizer on a municipal warrant for failure to appear. The police report states Fizer is being held for 20-days plus an $88.50 cash only bond.

Woman running on the rim stopped early Friday afternoon

At 4:21 Friday afternoon Sedalia police observed a vehicle with a shredded front tire, running on the rim. The vehicle was reportedly stopped at Prospect and Wilkerson, and the driver told the officer she had struck a curb. A check through dispatch was made on the driver, 24-year-old Samantha Kearny-Cripps of Sedalia, and revealed she was suspended. At the time of the report Kearny-Cripps was in the Pettis County jail pending $532.50 bond.

20-year-old Sedalia man arrested during a suspicious persons call

Around 2:15 Saturday morning Sedalia police arrested 20-year-old Brent Warren during an investigation of a suspicious person. The report states Warren was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released pending a state charge of resisting arrest.

Thief damages a vehicle in a failed attempt to enter a it on South Carr

At 6:45 Friday evening Sedalia police took a damage complaint from a victim in the 1700 block of South Carr. According to the victim he saw a suspect attempting to enter his vehicle, and while the thief was unsuccessful there was $500 in damage caused to a front door of the vehicle. The suspect had not been located at the time of the police report.

Hit and run accident in an alleyway damages a privacy fence

Just before 9 o’clock Friday night Sedalia police took a hit and run complaint from a victim in the 1800 block of South Quincy. According to the victim someone struck his privacy fence in the alley, then left without notifying anyone. There is no suspect at news time.

Pettis County deputies investigate a stolen vehicle and other property

At 2:50 Sunday afternoon Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Easter Road in Green Ridge on a theft complaint. Upon arrival the victim told them someone had stolen a 1995 Burgandy ¾ ton Dodge Truck, several tools, and electrical items from their property. There was no value placed on the stolen items, and an investigation is ongoing according to the report.
