Sedalia police investigate a theft from a motor vehicle Monday

At 10:27 Monday morning Sedalia Police investigated a reported theft from a motor vehicle in the 1300 block of New England Drive. Upon arrival the victim told the officers sometime overnight someone stole a wallet from their vehicle. There was no information on what the wallet contained, and there were no suspects at the time of the police report.

Missouri state Highway patrol Accident Report

Around 3:15 Sunday afternoon the Missouri state Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on US Highway 24 at Missouri Highway 131 in Lafayette County. According to the accident report the accident occurred as the Northbound 2008 Hyundai Sonata driven by 30-year-old Derrick R. Wilhite of Grain Valley failed to yield to a 2011 GMC Yukon driven by 38-year-old Erin Moyer of Richmond, causing the Moyer vehicle to strike the Wilhite vehicle broadside. A passenger in the Wilhite vehicle 29-year-old Rachel N. Uptegrove of Higginsville received minor injuries in the crash, and was taken to Lafayette County Regional Hospital in Lexington for treatment. Both had to be towed from the scene.
