Child abuse case in the Sedalia area under investigation

Monday afternoon the Sedalia Police Department received a call from the Children’s Division for assistance in a child abuse that may have occurred in the Sedalia area. An investigation is reportedly going on at this time.

Woman arrested after refusing to leave her sister’s home

At 5:23pm Monday Evening Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence in the 1100 block of South Harding in reference to a woman refusing to leave her sisters house. Upon arrival officers met with the caller, and the suspect identified as 49-year-old Tammy Lou Harvard. The police report states there was a struggle with the suspect, and she was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. At the time of the police report Harvard was being held pending an $816.50 bond for trespassing, and resisting arrest.

Family dog taken to the shelter after becoming aggressive with children

On Saturday Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 500 block of West 4th on the report of an aggressive dog. Upon arrival the caller told the officers a family member’s dog had become aggressive towards her children, and she could no longer have it at the residence. The police report states the dog has been taken to the animal shelter.

Deputies investigate a theft complaint on Quisenberry Road this (Tuesday) morning

Around 7:40 this (Tuesday) morning Pettis County Deputies were dispatched to the 28000 block of Quisenberry Road on a theft complaint. According to the report $2290 worth of unspecified items were stolen. An investigation is ongoing into the theft.
