Traffic stop Tuesday night results in multiple charges for Sedalia man

At 9:32 Tuesday night Sedalia Police observed a vehicle with no license plate light. According to the police report the officer attempted to stop the vehicle at 11th and Park, but the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed. The driver reportedly jumped from the vehicle at 18th and Park while it was still in gear, and ran from the scene. The officer was able to track the driver to an address where he was taken into custody, and transported to the Pettis County Jail. At the time of the police report the driver, 37-year-old Derrick Lee Teasley of Sedalia was on 24-hour hold at the Pettis County jail pending charges of resisting arrest for a felony, operating a vehicle without a valid operator’s license, and unlawful possession of a concealable weapon.

35-year-old Sedalia man arrested at the Probation and Parole Office Tuesday morning

Just before 10am Tuesday morning the Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Parole and Probation Office at 205 Thompson Road for a suspect with warrants. Upon arrival 35-year-old Todd Allen Harvey of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $1000 cash or surety bond on a Cole County Warrant, and a $200 cash only bond on a Sedalia Municipal Warrant.

Sedalia man arrested for driving while suspended Tuesday evening

Around 5pm Tuesday evening Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 3rd and Marvin for no rear license plate. Upon contact with the driver, 31-year-old Tristan Neth of Sedalia he was found to have a failure to appear warrant out of Sedalia, and was a suspended driver. Neth was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending formal charges.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies arrest a Sedalia woman on a Cooper County Warrant

According to a Pettis County Sheriff’s report, during a traffic stop at 6:16 this (Wednesday) morning Pettis County Deputies arrested Becky Taylor at 16th and Grand on an active Cooper County Warrant. At the time of the report Taylor was being held in the Pettis County Jail pending formal charges.

Sedalia Police report an attempted suicide this (Wednesday) morning

At 8am this (Wednesday) morning Sedalia police responded to the 1000 block of South Osage on an attempted suicide. According to the police report a 26-year-old female was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment and evaluation.

Theft Complaints filed with the Sedalia Police Department on Tuesday

Just before 2pm Tuesday afternoon a complainant in the 900 block of West 11th reported a burglary. According to the victim thieves made off with $2000 worth of items during the break-in. There were no suspects.

Tuesday afternoon a female victim in the reported a diaper bag with medicine and money was stolen from her vehicle between the hours of 6pm and 8pm Monday night. There are no suspects.

Around 10pm Tuesday night a victim in the 1600 block of East 10th reported a power washer had been stolen from her porch. There was no value placed on the washer, and no suspect information was available at news time.
