Sexual offences involving a 2-year-old child reported this (Thursday) morning

At 6:37am this (Thursday) morning Sedalia Police investigated a sexual offence that reportedly involved a 2-year-old child. According to the police report the complainants told officers they had left the child with a family member at their residence in the 200 block of North Harding, and when they  returned they found the family member and the child naked. The suspect identified as 40-year-old Leo Allen Cranford of Sedalia was located and reportedly confessed to having sexual contact with the child. At the time of the police report he was on 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail pending formal charges of 1st degree sodomy, and 1st degree child molestation.

Steeleville Missouri man is arrested for stealing from Wood’s

Around 7:43 Wednesday night Sedalia Police were dispatched to Wood’s Supermarket at 701 East Broadway on a theft complaint. Upon arrival the complainant reported the theft of 2-packages of Brats, and a bottle of alcohol valued collectively at $25.91. The suspect 28-year-old Charles D. Leisier of Steeleville Missouri was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

Local business has ATM Machine robbed sometime overnight

Just after 1am this (Thursday) morning Sedalia Police received an alarm call at Advantage Metals located at 300 Iron Avenue. Upon arrival officers found the ATM Machine had been forcibly entered and an unknown amount of money was stolen. There was no suspect information in the police report.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Crime Reports

At 11:38 Wednesday morning Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies took a stealing complaint at the Sheriff’s Office. According to the victim someone stole an air conditioning unit from their office building located in the 10000 block of Highway 52, in the Windsor area. Value of the property was set at $1600. An investigation is ongoing according to the report.

According to a Pettis County Sheriff’s report around 11:30 Tuesday night Pettis County Deputies conducted a subject check in the area of Broadway and Porter here in Sedalia. The suspect identified as Lydia Nicole (Kearney) Hays of Sedalia was found to have a Sedalia warrant with a $200 cash only bond.

At 11:48 Wednesday night Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Ronnie Price Jr. during a traffic stop for driving while suspended. The report states Price was released with a summons to appear in court.
