Sedalia Police looking for a suspect in a hit and run accident Thursday evening

Just before 6pm Thursday evening Sedalia Police investigated a hit and run accident at Broadway and Osage. Upon arrival the victim told the officers a Silver Ford Taurus driven by a black male suspect pulled in front of him, and he was unable to avoid a collision. That incident is currently under investigation.

A female victim reports being harassed at McDonalds

Around 4pm Wednesday afternoon a female victim arrived at the Sedalia Police Station to file a harassment complaint. According to the victim a person known to her had harassed her in the McDonalds Parking Lot. The victim also said it was an ongoing issue.

Identity theft reported to the Sedalia Police Thursday morning

At 11am Thursday morning a victim reported someone had used her information to procure electrical service without her permission. The victim said the result is a $700 bill. There was no information on a suspect in the police report.

Thief steals items from a woman’s vehicle in the 3100 block of West 10th Thursday

Thursday afternoon a victim in the 3100 block of West 10th reported someone entered her locked vehicle and stole a backpack with a college textbook, and a set of headphones. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.

MSHP reports a one-vehicle accident in Saline County this (Friday) morning

At 5:20 this (Friday) morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident, that occurred at mile marker 83.2 on Westbound I-70. The accident reportedly occurred as the 2001 Pontiac Sunfire driven by 18-year-old Darin B. Wood of Lake St. Louis Missouri travelled off the roadway, and struck a guardrail before returning to the roadway and coming to rest. A passenger identified as 18-year-old Devin A. Pettit of Wentzville received minor injuries, and was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital by Saline County EMS for treatment. The report also states Wood and Pettit were not wearing seatbelts.
