39-year-old Sedalia man arrested for traffic and drug related charges Wednesday afternoon

Around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon Sedalia Police observed a vehicle in the area of 14th and New York with no front license plate. During a traffic stop the driver was found to be revoked, and had 5 prior convictions for similar incidents. The police report also states a baggie with a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana was observed near the console in plain view. The driver 39-year-old Joseph J. Moore of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending the filing of driving while revoked a felony due to prior convictions, and possession of marijuana.

Moped reported stolen in the 800 block of East 5th

At 5:10 this (Thursday) morning a victim in the 800 block of East 5th reported his Moped was stolen from his front yard. The police report states a black truck was observed leaving the area around the time of the theft.

One-vehicle accident reported in Lafayette County Wednesday night

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Westbound I-70 at mile marker 54 in Lafayette County at 10:10 Wednesday night. The accident report states the accident occurred as a 2007 Chevrolet Impala driven by 27-year-old Dane K. Lund of Columbia travelled off the roadway, and struck the guard cables totaling the vehicle. Lund was wearing his seatbelt, and received only minor injuries in the crash. He refused treatment at the scene.
