Theft Complaints filed Wednesday with the Sedalia Police Department

Just after 6pm Wednesday evening Sedalia Police were called to a residence in the 400 block of South Wagner on a burglary complaint. Upon contact with the victim he told the officers sometime while he was at work someone entered his home and stole $15 in change from his bedroom.

At 12:45 Wednesday afternoon a victim in the 300 block of South Grand Avenue reported his television was stolen from his residence. The victim said the theft took place between 8:45 Wednesday morning and early Wednesday afternoon. There were no suspects in either of these thefts at news time.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Accident Reports

Around 2pm Wednesday afternoon the Missouri state Highway Patrol and the Pettis County sheriff’s Department reported an injury accident on Main street Road near Chevalier Road in Pettis County. The accident reportedly occurred as the 2007 Nissan Sentra driven by 23-year-old Stephanie Petree of Sedalia travelled off the roadway, and overturned. Petree suffered moderate injuries in the crash, but refused treatment at the scene.

At 12:40 Wednesday afternoon The Missouri state Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Missouri Highway “7” South of “AA” in Benton County. The accident happened when the driver of a 2004 Lexus 69-year-old Marilyn Turner of Shawnee Kansas, failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the roadway. The vehicle struck several trees, and then caught fire, becoming fully engulfed. Turner received moderate injuries in the accident, and was taken to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach for treatment. The Benton County Sheriff’s Department along with Deer Creek and Northwest Fire Departments assisted in the accident.
