Here's your Afternoon Sedalia Police Crime Report for June 5, 2012.

Driver sought in a vehicle chase early this morning

At 3:30 this morning, the Sedalia police attempted to stop a vehicle for excessive acceleration. The vehicle did not stop for lights and sirens, and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The police report states the chase went onto a gravel road, and visibility on the vehicle was lost. The vehicle stopped at 20th and Ohio, but the driver had abandoned it during poor visibility. The driver is being sought, and faces charges of driving while suspended, resisting arrest, assault 2nd degree and careless driving.

 

Plattswoods man arrested  for driving while revoked

At 2:25 Monday afternoon Sedalia police stopped a motorcycle at 9th and Quincy for swerving on the road. Upon contact with the driver, 48-year-old Ronald Beeson of Plattswoods Missouri was revoked. He was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail, and placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

 

41-year-old Sedalia man arrested for driving while suspended

Around 7 o’clock this morning, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at Main and Park with a driver known to be suspended. Arrested at the scene was 41-year-old David Maupins of Sedalia. Maupins was taken to the Pettis County jail, and placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

 

Traffic stop nets revoked driver Monday night

At 11:14 Monday night, a traffic stop in the 1100 block of South Harding resulted in the arrest of 49-year-old Vincent Wolfe for driving while revoked. According to the police report Wolfe was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending $531.50 bond.

 

20-year-old Sedalia woman arrested during a traffic stop this morning

At 3:31 this morning, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle near 20th and Ohio. A check on the driver, 20-year-old Brittany Miller of Sedalia, revealed she had a Municipal warrant. The police report states Miller was also in possession of alcohol. At the time of the police report she was in the Pettis County jail pending $150 cash only bond.
