Afternoon: Sedalia Police Crime Reports For August 13, 2014

17-year-old female arrested for possession of alcohol, and giving juveniles alcohol

At 1:11 this (Wednesday) morning Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of North Grand regarding intoxicated juveniles. Upon arrival officers found, that a 17-year-old female had consumed alcohol, and had supplied juveniles at the residence with alcohol. The suspect was issued a summons and a court date on a charge of minor in possession of alcohol.

Male victim reports being assaulted on Sedalia’s Southside

 Just before mid-night Tuesday Sedalia Police responded to a reported assault that took place at a residence in the 1200 block of South Harrison. According to the victim he had defended himself when he was assaulted, and received injuries to his face. The police report states the victim was taken to Bothwell Hospital for treatment. There was no information on the suspect in the case.

Thieves target a home on East 11^th Tuesday afternoon

Around 5:30 Tuesday evening Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence in the 1200 block East 11^th on a burglary complaint. Upon arrival the female victim told the officers  she had left the residence earlier in the afternoon, and when she returned she discovered toys and furniture worth around $340 had been stolen from her house. There was no information on a possible suspect in the theft report.

Theft from a motor vehicle reported on East 9^th Tuesday night

At 11:15 Tuesday night Sedalia Police responded to the 800 block of East 9^th on a theft in progress. Upon arrival the victims said they had observed the suspects near their vehicle, and when they checked items had been removed from the vehicle. One of the victims reportedly chased the suspects, but lost sight of them. There was no other information in the police report.
