Afternoon Sedalia Police Crime Reports For August 25, 2014
Sedalia woman arrested early Sunday morning on drug related charges
Just after midnight Sunday morning while conducting a subject check in the 100 block of West 4th, police officers observed a female subject riding a bicycle slowly through the parking lots. Upon contact with the subject identified as 30-year-old Victoria Williams of Sedalia a Henry County warrant was confirmed on her. Following her arrests the officers found small baggies with methamphetamine, and 2-insulin needles. At the time of the police report Williams was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail pending state charges, and $150 bond.
18-year-old suspect arrested during an assault investigation Thursday morning
At 10:30 Thursday morning Sedalia Police along with a Pettis County deputy Sheriff responded to a residence in the 2600 block of Maple Wood Lane on a suspect in an assault case. Upon arrival the suspect voluntarily went to the police station for an interview. The police report states during the interview the suspect identified as 18-year-old Jessie Leclair admitted he had assaulted the victim in the case. Leclair was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending a $7500 bond on a charge of 2nd degree assault.
Sedalia man issued a summons for urinating on a sidewalk
Saturday evening a complainant in the 1300 block of South Moniteau called the Sedalia Police to report a suspect urinating on the sidewalk in front of her residence. Upon arrival officers located the suspect, and issued him a municipal summons and a court date.
Warrant check results in arrest for a 24-year-old Sedalia woman
Around 11:25 Friday morning Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check on 24-year-old Natasha Breshears of Sedalia, who was found to have a Saline County Warrant. Breshears was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $7500 bond.
Pettis County Deputies arrest a 29-year-old Sedalia man on a Saline County Warrant
Around 8:30 this (Monday) morning Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the Probation and Parole Office at 205 Thompson Road for a subject with a Saline County Warrant. Upon arrival the Deputies arrested 29-year-old Jonathon M. Sultzman of Sedalia for a failure to appear warrant out of Saline County. Sultzman was transported to Saline County.
Cole Camp woman arrested following an accident for driving while suspended
At 5:30 Friday evening Sedalia police were dispatched to a traffic accident in the 500 block of West Broadway. Upon arrival officers found one of the drivers, 19-year-old Sara Anne Elisabeth Howard of Cole Camp was a suspended driver. Howard was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released with a court date.
41-year-old Sedalia man arrested for driving while suspended
Just after 6:30 Friday evening Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at Broadway, and Ruth Ann Drive with a suspended driver. The police report states 41-year-old Gerald A. Brown of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail, where he was placed on 24-hour hold for driving while suspended/revoked.
Thefts, Scams and Fraud cases
On Monday a victim in the 1200 Block of East Broadway told police she had been instructed to put money on a debit card in order to receive a loan. After the card was accessed she was told she would not get the loan, and the money was not refundable. There was no other information on the case.
At 3:24 Friday afternoon a victim in the 1500 block of East 6th reported the theft of a CD Player from his vehicle.
This Monday morning a victim filed a complaint with the Sedalia Police, that someone in Texas had used his name and social security number to make purchases, resulting in a $530 debt against him. There was no other information in the police report.
