Sedalia man arrested Monday morning for Domestic Assault

Just after mid-night Monday morning Sedalia Police responded to the report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 500 block of East 10th. Upon arrival officers located the suspect 25-year-old Raymond Blake Brockway of the residence, and his father who had minor injuries to his face. Brockway admitted he had hit his father, and was arrested. At the time of the police report Brockway was on 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail pending formal charges of 3rd degree domestic assault.

20-year-old man arrested for property damage and minor in possession

At 5:40 Saturday morning Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 400 block of West 6th on a 911 hang-up call. Upon arrival the female victim told officers a male suspect had damaged her Garden Archway. The police searched the area and located the suspect identified as 20-year-old Devon Dmitri Riley of Sedalia. Riley was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $167 bond on charges of Destruction of property, and minor in possession and purchase of intoxicants.

Local store reports a suspicious person Sunday afternoon

Around 4:39 Sunday afternoon a caller with Staples located at 3601 West Broadway informed the police about a suspicious person. Upon arrival officers located the subject in the store’s parking lot. A check through dispatch revealed the suspect 22-year-old Francisco Morales had a failure to appear out of Sedalia. Morales was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending an $88.50 bond.

Sedalia man arrested on a failure to appear warrant Sunday

Just before noon on Sunday Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check at a residence in the 400 block of North Quincy. Upon arrival officers made contact with 24-year-old John Edward Washausen of the residence. Following confirmation Washausen was arrested on a failure to appear warrant with an $88.50 bond.

Theft complaints filed with the Sedalia police Department

On Saturday a male victim in the 900 block of West Main reported the theft of $1000 worth of copper wire, and a large air compressor from his business.

Sunday night a woman in the 400 block of South Park reported a red push type lawnmower was stolen from her back yard, sometime during the past two-weeks.

A man in the 500 block of East Howard reported a cabin in his back yard had been burglarized. According to the victim the missing items included movies, CDs, and 2-heaters.

At 7:46 Sunday morning a victim in the 200 block of East 24th reported thieves stole a speaker box and 2-speakers from his unlocked truck.
