45-year-old Sedalia woman arrested early this (Thursday) morning

At 3:23 this (Thursday) morning (Dec. 18), a Sedalia Police Officer observed a suspect in the 300 block of West Broadway known to have an active warrant. Upon contact with the suspect, identified as 45-year-old Cerrina L. Elliott of Sedalia, consent to search her vehicle was requested and given. The police report states methamphetamine and a syringe was located in the vehicle. Elliott was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was placed on 24- hour hold pending a $2500 bond on the failure to appear warrant, and the filing of drug related charges.

Sedalia man arrested as a persistent offender Wednesday night

Just before 10 Wednesday night (Dec. 17), Sedalia Police attempted to stop a vehicle in the 1200 block of Marshall Avenue, but the vehicle failed to stop until the driver pulled into a driveway several blocks away. The driver, 51-year-old Michael W. Harvey, was arrested at the scene and transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of driving while intoxicated persistent offender, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana, and driving while suspended.

Sedalia woman arrested on a failure to appear warrant early this (Thursday) morning

Just after midnight this (Thursday) morning Sedalia Police observed a female suspect in the 600 block of East 14th known to have an active warrant out of Sedalia. 24-year-old Amber Nichole Owen of Sedalia was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending a $100 cash only bond.

Thief steals from a local store then attempts to pawn the stolen items

At 10:15 Wednesday morning the Game Store located at 3400 West Broadway reported the theft of $1100 worth of Nintendo DS Cartridges from the store. At 5:09 Wednesday evening the Sedalia police were called to the Family Pawn at 2805 West Broadway on a subject attempting to sell 27 Nintendo Cartridges. The suspect left the store before the police arrived, but left the stolen cartridges behind. The two incidents are possibly connected.

Thief targets packages delivered by the Post Office and UPS

A woman in the 1300 block of South Beacon reported the theft of two packages that were delivered to her home by the Post Office and UPS Wednesday. The woman said the deliveries were confirmed by the Post Office and UPS. There were no suspects at news time.

The Senior Center at 212 South Washington Reported the refrigerator in the center had been damaged.

Wednesday afternoon (Dec. 17), a man in the 200 block of South Harding reported that someone had forced open his garage door, and stole $750 worth of tools.
