20-year-old Sedalia man arrested on child abuse charges Tuesday

Sedalia police received a call from the children’s Division, that a Child Abuse Hotline call had been received concerning a child with many bruises. The police report states patrol officers and a children’s division worker made contact with the child, and the child’s mother, and put a safety plan in place. The report states the child was taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital where an evaluation was made. According to doctors at the hospital the injuries were consistent with child abuse. The report also states the mother of the child denied knowledge of the injuries. The woman’s boyfriend admitted he could have caused the injuries by playing too rough with the child from time to time. 20-year-old Ricco G. Martinez of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail, where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending a charge of child abuse. The child was placed with the grandparents.

36-year-old Sedalia man arrested on 2-full extradition warrants

Around 12:30 Wednesday afternoon Sedalia Police conducted a subject check at a residence in the 600 block of East 10th. Upon contact with the subject 36-year-old Eliseo Danny Aguilar of Sedalia he was found to have two-full extradition warrants. One of the warrants was out of San-Bernadino California, and the 2nd warrant was from the Department of Parole and Community Services. At the time of the police report Aguilar was in the Pettis County Jail pending extradition.

Investigation of a stolen gun results in arrest for a 34-year-old homeless man

Thursday morning Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the area of 10th and Ingram on a theft complaint. Upon arrival the complainant a subject they had invited into their house may have stolen a gun when he left. The officers received a description of the suspect, and he was located in the area and attempted to flee. The police report states 34-year-old Samuel E Delinger a homeless man was found to have an active warrant out of Cole Camp, and was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Dellinger was taken into custody, and transported to the Pettis County Jail, and placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges. The police report states the investigation on the stolen gun is still ongoing.

Cole Camp man arrested for being intoxicated

Just before 1pm Thursday afternoon Sedalia Police responded to Katy Park at 2200 South Grand on the report of a man urinating on a van in the parking lot. Upon arrival officers made contact with 23-year-old Marcos Isidri Chavez of Cole Camp, and determined he was intoxicated. Chavez was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail where he was booked and released with a court date.

Investigation of an accident Thursday morning results in arrest for a Kansas City man

At 1:41 Thursday morning Sedalia Police responded to the area of 14th and South park on a vehicle accident. Upon arrival officers made contact with the driver, 24-year-old Myron Javier Guzman of Kansas City Missouri. Following an investigation Guzman was found to be driving without a valid license, and was also to be charged with careless and imprudent driving. At the time of the police report he was in the Pettis County jail pending a $642.50 bond.
35-year-old Sedalia man arrested for driving while intoxicated Thursday evening

Just before 6pm Thursday evening Sedalia Police were alerted to a careless driver on North Ohio. The police report states the officers located the suspect vehicle on 2nd Street just off Ohio, and observed the vehicle performing a traffic violation. The vehicle was stopped, and it was determined the driver 35-year-old Eric W. Dotson was intoxicated. Dotson was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail, and placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of driving while intoxicated prior offender.

Traffic stop for speeding lands a suspended driver in jail this (Friday) morning

At 7am this (Friday) morning Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 11th and Center for speeding. Upon contact with the driver 31-year-old Rubio Moises of Sedalia he was found to be suspended/revoked. He was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail, and placed on 24-hour hold pending an investigation.

Wisconsin man arrested during a traffic stop Thursday evening

Around 5:45 Thursday evening Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 4th and Ohio. A subsequent check on the driver Damian A. Kinner of St. DePere Wisconsin revealed he had an active warrant out of Cole Camp. He was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending a $200 bond.
