Armed robbery reported at a local motel Monday morning

Just before 5am Monday morning Sedalia Police were dispatched to the State Fair Hotel at 3402 West Broadway on a report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival the desk clerk told the officers two-men in dark clothes wearing masks entered the motel with a gun, and told him to give them the money. There were no injuries in the incident, and no information on the amount of money the thieves got away with. There were no suspects at news time, and the investigation is ongoing.

Sedalia man arrested on a Sedalia Municipal Warrant Monday

Monday afternoon Sedalia Police responded to the probation and parole office at 205 Thompson Road on a suspect with a warrant. Upon arrival officers arrested 31-year-old Matthew R. Wilson of Sedalia on a Sedalia Municipal Warrant for failure to appear. Bond on the warrant was set at $124.30.

Victim reports two of his properties were burglarized

According to Sedalia Police reports on Monday and Tuesday, a Sedalia man reported two of his properties were entered, and items were stolen. A property in the 300 block of East 11th had $750 worth of items stolen, and another in the 200 block of East 24th had $130 worth of items taken. There were no suspects at news time.

Go Kart and other items stolen from a shed on Sedalia’s East side

At 2:47 Monday afternoon Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of East Chestnut on a theft complaint. Upon arrival the victim told the officers thieves had entered a shed on the property, and stole a red go-kart, and other items. There were no suspects.

Gas cans taken from a garage on South Prospect

Last Friday a victim in the 1200 block of South Prospect reported 5-gas cans valued at $50 were stolen from his garage. There were no suspects
