Local business reports a company trailer is damaged in a burglary attempt

At 7:26 Wednesday morning Sedalia Police responded to the 600 block of East Broadway on a property damage complaint. Upon arrival the complainant reported a trailer belonging to Meyer Electrical Contractors had been damaged in an attempted burglary. According to the police report the thief or thieves removed five hinge pins, and damaged the door lock in the attempt to gain access to the trailer. Damage estimate was set at $50. There were no suspects at news time.

Police investigate a burglary on East 6th Wednesday morning

Around 9:20 Wednesday morning Sedalia Police investigated a burglary that occurred at a residence in the 1100 block of East 6th. According to the complainant she had been watching her son’s home, and when she went to clean it she discovered someone had broken a door to gain access to the home. The thief or thieves took a flat screen television, and a microwave. There was no other information in the police report.
