Homeless man arrested Friday morning on a fugitive warrant

Around 11:00 Friday morning, Sedalia Police investigated a disturbance at 5th and Thompson involving a male and female who were arguing. A subsequent check on the subjects, who claimed to be homeless, revealed the female had a non-extraditable warrant and the male suspect had two warrants out of Texas that included a fugitive from justice warrant. Officers arrested 50-year-old Kerry Walker and took him to the Pettis County jail where he was placed on 24-hour hold on the warrants.

Two suspects arrested on drug charges Friday night

At 8:00 Friday night, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 7th and Engineer for an expired registration. Upon contact with the occupants of the vehicle, the officer reportedly smelled the odor of marijuana. The police report also states there was drug contraband in plain sight in the vehicle. Arrested at the scene was 24-year-old Roderick Vose and 20-year-old Dray Perry both of Sedalia. At the time of the police report both suspects were in the Pettis County jail pending formal drug related charges.

Sedalia police arrest two Warsaw suspects Saturday morning

Around 11:30 Saturday morning, Sedalia police investigated a call from a local pawn shop about a suspicious female who was attempting to pawn some tools. Officers caught up with the woman and a male subject at a second pawn shop. The police report states the female, identified as 20-year-old Barbara Shull of Warsaw, was found to be a suspended driver and was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending $532.50 bond. The male passenger, 34-year-old Todd Harvey of Warsaw, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail, and placed on 24-hour hold on charges of 2nd degree tampering, two counts of animal abuse and possession of a prohibited weapon (brass knuckles).

39-year-old Sedalia woman arrested for peace disturbance Sunday night

Just after 8:00 Sunday night, Sedalia police responded to 3rd and Ohio on the report of a woman stopping traffic to ask for money. Upon arrival, officers arrested 39-year-old Donna Jones of Sedalia and took her to the Pettis County Jail pending bonds totaling $566 for peace disturbance.

Forgery and receiving stolen property charges pending on a Hughesville woman

At 7:05 Sunday night, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at Harvey and Emmitt for expired registration. During an investigation, the officer found the sticker on the license plate had the date forged and did not belong to the vehicle. The driver, 29-year-old Sharm Paxton of Hughesville, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released pending formal charges of forgery, and receiving stolen property.

Car stereo theft investigated Friday afternoon

Just before 1:00 Friday afternoon, a complainant in the 900 block of East 15th reported an in-dash JVC Stereo valued at $375 was stolen from his van. There were no suspects at news time.
