Warrant Check Saturday afternoon nets a Sedalia man on multiple warrants

At 4:42 Saturday afternoon Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check at a residence in the 300 block of East 2nd. Upon contact with the suspect identified as 20-year-old Aran Tyler Cantrell of the residence dispatch was able to confirm warrants out of Pettis and Benton Counties, and a Municipal Warrant out of Sedalia. At the time of the police report Cantrell was in the Pettis County jail pending $4150 in bonds.

44-year-old Sedalia man arrested on traffic related charges Friday afternoon

At 2:39 Friday afternoon Sedalia Police arrested 44-year-old Keith A Marlatt on charges of careless and imprudent driving, and driving while suspended. The charges stem from Marlatt speeding through a school zone at the Sedalia Middle School in the 2200 block of South Ingram. Marlatt was booked and released at the Pettis County jail.

Man walking in the street arrested on an outstanding warrant this (Monday) morning

Just before 10am Friday morning Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 900 block of North Grand on a subject walking in the middle of the roadway. According to the police report upon contact with the man, 22-year-old Seth Andrew Farr of Sedalia he was not responsive when asked questions about what he was doing there. A subsequent check through dispatch revealed Farr had a failure to appear warrant out of Sedalia. Farr was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending an $88.50 bond on the warrant.

Thefts and property damage complaints

On Saturday a female victim reported her social security number was used by someone with the Missouri Department of Revenue. The victim said her tax filing has been blocked, and the state says she owes $6,000. The Department of Revenue reportedly gave the victim the name of the suspect, and the victim is seeking prosecution in the case.

A hand held Motorola Radio valued at $800 was reported stolen from a victim in the 1500 block of West 3rd at 8:40am this (Monday) morning. The victim told the police the theft took place sometime over the weekend.

At 8:10am this (Monday) morning Sedalia Police took a property damage complaint from a victim in the 1600 block of South Montgomery. According to the victim sometime overnight someone shot his vehicle with a paintball gun. An investigation is ongoing at news time.

Missouri Title and Loan located at 2123 West Broadway reported a burglary on Friday. The police report states a metal door was found ajar on the building, but nothing was reported missing.
