Local business reports a theft from a drive thru customer

At 2pm Thursday afternoon Sedalia Police responded to Freddy’s Steakburgers located at 3171 West Broadway on a theft complaint. According to management at the business the thief ordered food through the drive thru, and stole $19 from the business during the change process. Management also told KSIS, that they had received an e-mail that the thief had done the same thing at another location. There was no suspect information in the police report.

20-year-old Cole Camp man arrested on drug related charge Thursday night

At 11:36pm Thursday night Sedalia Police responded to the area of the Walmart Gas Station regarding drug activity. Upon the officers were given a description of the suspect’s vehicle. The police report states the vehicle was located in the Thompson Hills Shopping Center, and a traffic stop was initiated. The police report also states upon approaching the vehicle the officer detected the smell of marijuana. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a marijuana roach. During the investigation dispatch revealed the driver, 20-year-old Zane Thomas Craig of Cole Camp had a failure to appear warrant. At the time of the police report Craig was in the Pettis County jail pending a $100 cash only bond, and a court date.\

Hit and Run driver apprehended after hitting a utility pole

Just before 4am Thursday morning Sedalia Police investigated a hit and run accident at Broadway and Osage. Upon arrival officers found an unoccupied truck, that had struck a KCP&L Pole, and broke it off at the base. Following an investigation the suspect was located at his residence. 25-year-old Justin Travis Perry of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending charges of driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, and1st degree property damage.

Dog bite reported in the area of 9th and Beacon Thursday afternoon

Around 4pm Thursday afternoon a male victim reported he had been attacked by a brown and white dog while he was walking in the area of 9th and Beacon. The police report states the man had an injured right leg. There was no other information in that police report.

Hit and Run accident reported at 50 & 65 Junction Thursday evening

According to a victim his vehicle was struck by a hit and run driver at 6:21 Thursday evening, at the intersection of 50 and 65 Highways. The victim said the other vehicle fled the area without giving any information. The police report states the victim’s vehicle was damaged on the front passenger side. There was no estimate on the damage, and no information on the suspect or their vehicle was contained in the police report.

A man in the 900 block of South Moniteau reported a right front tire and wheel was stolen from his vehicle, that was parked in his driveway. There were no suspects.
