Man's Body Found Northeast of Sedalia today

KSIS has received information that a man's body was found in the bed of a pickup on a road Northeast of Sedalia. This is all the information we have at this time, but we will update this story as soon as more information is released by the Pettis County Sheriff's Office.

Cole Camp woman issued a summons for shoplifting

At 9:40 Thursday morning Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Walmart Store on a shoplifter that was apprehended by loss prevention. Upon arrival officers gathered information on the suspect identified as 18-year-old Emery S. Shipley of Cole Camp. The police report states Shipley was issued a summons and a court date, and released at the scene.

Woman files a theft complaint with the Sedalia Police

Just before 3pm Thursday afternoon a complainant came to the Sedalia Police Department to file a theft complaint. According to the complainant someone stole $3100 worth of Jewelry from her mother while she was a patient at Bothwell Regional Health Center on the 29th of April. There was no other information at news time.

Woman reports being scratched by a dog on Sunday

According to a Sedalia Police report a female victim reported she had been scratched by a dog Sunday in the 600 block of east 27th. The woman sought treatment on Tuesday. The dog has not been located at this time.

 Local Scrap Metal Company reports a possible theft of material

Around 4pm Thursday afternoon Sedalia Police were dispatched to 300 North Iron on a possible theft. Upon arrival the caller told officers his company took material he believes was stolen from a local business. The police report states the value of the items was placed at $2800. There was no information on a suspect at the time of the police report.

Thief steals lawn ornaments from an eastside yard

According to a Sedalia Police report a thief or thieves stole yard ornaments valued at $110 from a yard in the 1700 block of east 7th on Tuesday or Wednesday. There were no suspects at news time.

Bike stolen on east Tower Thursday morning

A Silver Schwinn Mongoose Bicycle with red and yellow lettering was reported stolen in the 400 block of East Tower Thursday morning. The bike has a value of $150, and there are no suspects at news time.
