Shots fired in the 800 block of West 4th Early this (Friday) morning

At 12:48 this (Friday) morning Sedalia Police Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 800 block of West 4th on a report of shots fired. Prior to the officer’s arrival at the scene dispatch informed them a woman had called to report she had fired her weapon in response to an attempted break in of her house. The police report states a search of the neighborhood failed to locate the suspects. According to a later police report the officers were given the gun by the woman, and found the numbers had been filed off, and the gun had been reported stolen. Arrested in the incident was 51-year-old Irma Granados-Zuniga of Powell Missouri. She was transported to the Pettis County jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges of receiving stolen property, and possession of a defaced firearm.

Man’s wallet reportedly stolen from his pants in his bedroom

Around 12:24 this (Friday) morning Sedalia Police took a theft complaint from a victim in the 700 block of State Fair Blvd. according to the victim sometime overnight someone stole his wallet out of his pants while they were in his bedroom. There was no suspect information in the police report.

Man steals alcohol from Walmart Wednesday morning

According to a Sedalia police theft report, the Walmart store reported a male suspect was attempting to steal some items from the store early Wednesday morning. The suspect ran with the items, but dropped a bottle of Captain Morgan. The suspect picked up the bottle, and continued to run. TGhere was no othe information in the theft at the time of the police report.
