Sedalia man arrested for domestic assault Saturday morning

Just after 3  Saturday morning (Jan. 19), Sedalia Police took a complaint on a physical domestic disturbance in the 500 block of East 13th.  Following an investigation, officers arrested Melvin Leon Ward Jr. of the residence and took him to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of 3rd degree domestic assault.

Traffic stop on a vehicle with no headlights on results in arrest for a Sedalia man

Just before 10:15 Saturday night (Jan. 17), Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at West Broadway, and Sunset Blvd. for not having the headlights on. A check on the driver, 53-year-old Figueroa Miguel Waldo of Sedalia, found him to be driving while revoked. Waldo was taken to the Pettis County Jail, and placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

35-year-old Sedalia woman arrested on a warrant Thursday morning

At 2:18 Thursday morning (Jan. 15), Sedalia Police Officers responded to the Probation and Parole Office, located at 205 Thompson Blvd., on a suspect with a warrant for stealing. Upon arrival officers arrested 35-year-old Kelly Rene Deigner of Sedalia. At the time of the police report, Deigner was in the Pettis County Jail pending a $150 bond.

Traffic stop early Saturday morning nets man with a warrant

Around 1:47 Saturday morning (Jan. 17), Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 6th and Lamine with a driver with an active warrant out of Pettis County. The driver 43-year-old Kevin S. Morrison of Sedalia, was arrested at the scene, and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $1500 bond.

22-year-old Sedalia man arrested for a failure to appear warrant Saturday

Just after 2 Saturday morning (Jan. 17), Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 11th and Osage for a traffic violation. A subsequent computer check on the driver, 22-year-old Kent Leroy Cline Jr. of Sedalia, revealed he was revoked, and had an active failure to appear warrant. Cline was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $1500 bond.
Cole Camp man arrested on a warrant during a traffic stop Saturday

Around 2:47 Saturday morning (Jan. 17), Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 11th and Harrison for a vehicle check. A subsequent check on the driver, 52-year-old Larry W. Brennen of Cole Camp, he was found to have a warrant out of Benton County. Brennen was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $250 bond.

Sedalia man arrested Saturday on an active warrant

At 4:30 Saturday afternoon (Jan. 17),  33-year-old Joseph L. Hensley, of Sedalia, was arrested  during a warrant check in the 500 block of East 2nd.  At the time of the police report Hensley was being held pending an $88.50 cash only bond.

Thieves steal a cell phone at Starbucks Friday

According to a Sedalia Police report someone stole a cell phone from a female victim while she was at Starbucks Friday evening (Jan. 16). The phone was reportedly valued at $290. There were no suspects at news time.
