Runaway Juvenile reported New Year’s Eve

At 11:18 Wednesday night the Sedalia Police Department received a report of a runaway juvenile in Sedalia. According to the mother of the juvenile, her and her juvenile daughter argued, and the girl ran away. When KSIS checked with the Sedalia Police Department this (Friday) afternoon there was no information about the return of the juvenile.

29-year-old Sedalia man arrested following a traffic stop

Around 7:15 Wednesday evening Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 3rd and Lafayette for a missing tail light, and expired registration. Upon contact with the driver 29-year-old Andre Lamont Ward of Sedalia he was found to be suspended. At the time of the police report Ward was in the Pettis County jail on 24-hour hold pending the filing of states charges.

Two thefts reportedly caught on video at Sedalia businesses

Just before 1pm Wednesday afternoon CVS Pharmacy at 100 East Broadway reported two-bottles of alcohol were stolen from the store. The police report states the suspect was videotaped during the theft.

At 5:28 Thursday evening a complainant with the Wal-Mart Store reported a cell phone was stolen from the Electronics Department of the business. The police report states the theft was captured by a security camera. Both thefts are under investigation, and the surveillance tapes are being examined at news time.

Tire is reported punctured on Sedalia’s Southside

Thursday afternoon a victim in the 2200 block of South Kentucky reported a tire on his vehicle was punctured sometime overnight. The replacement value of the tire was set at $150.

Wallet stolen from a vehicle Thursday afternoon

Just after 3pm Thursday afternoon Sedalia Police took a theft complaint from a female victim in the 1000 block of East 9th. According to the victim someone stole her wallet containing her debit card and her driver’s license. There were no suspects on these crimes at news time.
