Two-Sedalia residents issued summonses for drinking in a public park

At 1:42 This (Wednesday) morning Sedalia Police made contact with two-subjects who were reportedly drinking in Hausel Park on Sedalia’s North Side. 24-year-old Lindsey Hall of Sedalia was issued a Sedalia Municipal Summons for drinking in a public park, and 17-year-old Mercedes Edwards of Sedalia was issued a Sedalia Municipal Summons for a minor in possession of alcohol. Both subjects were given court dates of August 13, 2014.

Girl’s I-Pad is stolen at her church

Around 6:20 Tuesday evening a female victim came to the police station to file a theft complaint. According to the victim someone stole her I-Pad valued at $529 while she was at the Burns Chapel Free Will Baptist Church located at 209 East Pettis.

Theft from a motor vehicle reported Tuesday on Sedalia’s South Side

Just after 9pm Sunday night a victim in the 900 block of South Vermont reported a theft from her vehicle. According to the victim someone stole her bank card from her vehicle, that was parked on her property at the time. There was no other information in the police report.
