Child bitten in the face by a dog Wednesday afternoon

Around 4pm Wednesday afternoon Sedalia Police took a report on a child being bitten by a dog in the 1400 block of South Barrett. According to the victim’s father he and his 3 and ½ -year-old son were at a friend’s when their dog bit him in the face. The owner of the dog, a miniature Australian Shepard/Lab mix could not produce shot it, but said the Vet in Marshall had them. The dog has been restricted to the house, and Animal Control id doing follow-ups. There was no information on the severity of the bite.

28-year-old Sedalia man arrested at the Municipal Courtroom

At 10:43 Wednesday morning Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Municipal Courtroom on a suspect with an active warrant. Upon arrival officers arrested 28-year-old Jeremy Edgar of Sedalia on a Pettis County Warrant for failure to appear. At the time of the police report Edgar was in the Pettis County Jail pending a $3500 bond.

Sedalia Police arrest a 24-year-old man with a probation violation warrant Wednesday

Just after 4:30 Wednesday afternoon Sedalia Police went to an address in the 2700 block of South Grand on a suspect with a parole violation warrant. Upon arrival officers made contact with the suspect, 24-year-old Colton Ditton of the residence. Following confirmation of the warrant Ditton was arrested, and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending contact with his parole officer, or transportation to the Missouri Department of Corrections.
