Homeless person arrested on several charges Monday morning

At 11:29 Monday morning Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 400 block of Albright Court. Upon arrival officers were unable to locate the subject of the warrant, but 18-year-old DeAnte J. Loftis a homeless person was found to have a trespass warning, and was also in possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. At the time of the police report Loftis was on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

Warrant check Monday afternoon nets a 26-year-old Sedalia woman

Around 2:30 Monday afternoon Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of South Grand on a warrant check. Upon arrival officers located 26-year-old Samantha Sue Kearney Cripps of the residence. Following confirmation of the failure to appear warrant she was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending a $200 cash only bond.

Thieves target a local business over the weekend

At 8:13 Monday morning Sedalia Police were dispatched to RCL Wiring located at 601 Marshall Avenue on a theft complaint. Upon arrival the complainant told the officer, that sometime over the weekend someone forced entry to a secure lot, and stole $3000 worth of wiring. The police report states there are suspects in the case.

Sedalia woman assaulted by her boyfriend with a cane

Around 6:20 Monday morning Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of west 18th on an assault report. Upon arrival the caller told officers her boyfriend of the home had assaulted her with a cane, and then left the area in her car. The police report state the suspect had not been located at the time of the police report.

Sunday afternoon a woman reported the theft of items by her former room mate

The Sedalia Police investigated a theft of items in the 500 block of East 10th at 2:30 Sunday afternoon. A female victim told the officers her former roommate took items that did not belong to him when he moved out. Value of the items was placed at $200, and the suspect had not been located at the time of the report.
