Sedalia man arrested on a probation violation warrant

At 7:40 this (Friday) morning Sedalia Police observed a subject with a probation violation warrant walking in the area of 4th and Harrison. Following a check on the subject identified as 38-year-old Gary Lee Barnett Jr. of Sedalia, he was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $2500 bond.

Property damage at Centennial Pool reported by the Sedalia Parks Department

Sometime between the hours of 2:30 am and 5am Thursday morning someone damaged a padlock, and two chairs at the Centennial Pool. According to a Sedalia Police report damage to property at the pool is estimated at approximately $350. No arrests have been made at news time.

Sedalia woman reports a case of burglary, and tampering with a vehicle

Just after 9am Thursday morning Sedalia Police were sent to a residence in the 2200 block of South Marvin on a burglary, and tampering with a motor vehicle complaint. Upon arrival the complainant reported her garage and van had been entered, and items from the glove box threw around the garage.  Nothing was reported missing in the case.

Hit and run accident reported Thursday night

Around 7pm Thursday night Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 600 block of west 6th on a hit and run accident. According to the police report the vehicle suffered minor damage in the hit and run accident. There was no estimate on the damage, and no suspects had been identified at the time of the police report.
