Run-a-way Juvenile still being sought

At 9:45 Sunday night the Sedalia Police were informed a juvenile in the 400 block of South Engineer had been missing since 6pm that evening, and the parents could not locate the juvenile. The police report states a police search also had negative results. KSIS checked with a source at the police station this (Monday) afternoon, and at that time the juvenile was still being sought.

28-year-old LaTour Missouri woman arrested on a probation violation warrant

Around 11am Sunday morning Sedalia Police arrested 28-year-old Monica A. Haddock of LaTour Missouri on a probation violation warrant out of Cass County. Haddock was taken to the Pettis County jail pending a $7500 bond.

Disturbance Sunday afternoon results in arrest for Kansas City man

At 3:47 Sunday afternoon Sedalia Police investigated a disturbance in the 500 block of North Ohio. Upon arrival officers made contact with the male and female involved. A check through dispatch revealed the male suspect, 34-year-old Floyd Julius Stephens of Kansas City Missouri had a warrant out of Jackson County for failure to register as a sex offender. Stephens was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $1000.

24-year-old man feels a Taser Friday night during a foot chase

Around 11:15 Friday night Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at South Grand and Magnolia Avenue. The police report states a suspect exited the back seat of the vehicle and ran. The officer remained with the driver, but a Pettis County Deputy chased the suspect, and eventually deployed his Taser, which stopped the suspect identified as 24-year-old Jon Zaremba of rural Sedalia. The police report states as the officer was attempting to handcuff Zaremba he broke free, and attempted to run again. The officer reportedly grabbed Zaremba and was caused to impact the patrol vehicle. Zaremba was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment of injuries he sustained from the Taser. Arrest reports from the Pettis County sheriff’s Office states Zaremba is being held on multiple charges including possession with a controlled substance with a $15,000 bond.

Sedalia woman found to have 6-warrants out of Marshall during a traffic stop

Friday morning Sedalia police stopped a vehicle with improper registration at 13th and Washington. A check through dispatch revealed the driver 29-year-old Shawnna Lynn Cochran of Sedalia had 6-warrants out ofMarshall. Chochran was arrested and transported to the Pettis/Saline County Line, where she was turned over to Marshall Police Officers.

Suspended driver arrested Sunday night during a traffic stop

Just before 8:30 Sunday night Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at Main and West Avenue for a defective license plate light. A check on the driver, 42-year-old Robert L. Larimore of Sedalia revealed he was a suspended driver.  Larimore was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $533.50 bond.

Theft Complaints filed with the Sedalia Police Department

A storage shed in the 2300 block of West Main was broken into approximately three weeks ago, and thieves made off with $1000 worth of items.

A Dell Laptop has been found in the area of 14th and Montgomery. From the description in the police report it is not in good shape.

A victim reported his vehicle was entered while it was in a parking lot in the 3300 block of West Broadway Saturday morning. The victim told the police there was approximately $1100 worth of items stolen from the vehicle.

The owner of a vehicle in the 900 block of West 28th reported $100 worth of items were stolen from their vehicle Saturday morning.

Casey’s at 1909 West Main reported receiving a counterfeit $10 bill on Thursday.
