Sedalia man arrested during a traffic stop Sunday night

At 11:48 Sunday night Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at 3rd and Beacon for a moving violation. A check on the driver 28-year-old Ladislao Olivos-Baltazar of Sedalia revealed he was driving a vehicle without a valid driver’s license following an investigation he was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $533.50 bond on charges of driving while intoxicated, no valid driver’s license, and child restraint system.

21-year-old Sedalia woman arrested on warrants during a disturbance call

Around 8:45 Friday night Sedalia police responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 500 block of West 6th. During an investigation officers located 21-year-old Infinity Cheyenne Paull of Sedalia, who was found to have two active warrants out of Pettis County for traffic offences. She was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail  pending a bond of $1760.

18-year-old arrested at Walmart on a failure to appear warrant

Sunday afternoon Sedalia police were called to the Walmart store on a disturbance and theft complaint. Upon arrival store personnel reported juveniles had stolen merchandise, and they believed the man causing the disturbance had made the disturbance as a distraction for the juveniles. A check through dispatch found the suspect 18-year-old Dillon Lee James Hoover of Sedalia had an active failure to appear warrant. The officers arrested him on the warrant. At the time of the police report Hoover was in the Pettis County jail pending a $141.50 bond on the warrant.

Police contact family services following a disturbance investigation Saturday

At 5pm Saturday evening Sedalia Police conducted a subject check at a residence in the 1300 block of South Osage, after receiving a call about someone throwing stuff outside. Upon arrival officers located the subject yelling in the yard. The police report states officers were concerned about a child’s safety at first, but determined the child was in no danger. The police report states the police department contacted the Department of Family Services due to the families living conditions, and behavioral issues.

Child endangerment case under investigation

Sunday afternoon a man reported a child endangerment concern for his 5-year-old son. The man reported incidents happened while the boy was at a residence in the 400 block of West 17th. An investigation was pending at the time of the police report.

Theft cases reported over the weekend

Breaktime at 318 West Broadway reported a $20 gas drive off.

Just after mid-night this (Monday) morning a victim in the 300 block of Engineer Avenue reported someone had broken into his residence, and stole a lockbox with personal items inside from a bedroom in the residence.
At 12:04 Friday afternoon Sedalia Police investigated a theft complaint in the 600 block of State Fair Blvd. According to the female victim someone entered her vehicle and stole a DVD player and 3-DVDs, a cell phone, and baseball catcher’s equipment. The items taken had a value of $1300 according to the victim.

Sunday afternoon a victim in the 2200 block of  West 5th reported someone stole his safe and its contents, which included prescription medication, unfilled scripts, and a check book.
