20-year-old Sedalia man in jail for a stabbing on August 2nd

At 8:43 Saturday morning Sedalia police arrested 20-year-old Jamar M. Staten of Sedalia after witnesses identified him as a suspect in a stabbing that took place in the 1400 block of east 13th on August the 2nd of this year. The victim was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center after he was stabbed in the belly, than on to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment. At the time of the police report Staten was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges of 1st degree assault, and two counts of armed criminal action.

Homeless man arrested Sunday for a Parole Violation Warrant

At 1:39 Sunday afternoon Sedalia Police arrested 24-year-old Nathan Wayne Green a homeless person on an active warrant for a parole violation warrant. Green was taken to the Pettis County jail pending further action.

Several suspects arrested on stealing/shoplifting charges

Around 2:15 Friday afternoon the Sedalia police arrested 26-year-old Kristen R. Miller of Sedalia at the Walmart Store. According to the police report Miller had stolen two shirts. The police report states Miller had also been arrested for shoplifting at the store a year ago. She was transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $533.50 bond on a charge of stealing/shoplifting. The report also says she was issued a trespass warning for all Walmart stores.

Sunday evening Sedalia Police arrested 28-year-old Jennifer R. Church of Sedalia for Shoplifting at Walmart. At the time of the police report she was in the Pettis County jail pending a $533.50 bond on a charge of stealing/shoplifting.

At 3:22 Sunday afternoon Sedalia police were dispatched to the Walmart Store on a shoplifter. Upon arrival 44-year-old Thomas Lenard Lee a homeless person was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges for stealing/shoplifting.

Just after 8:30 Saturday night Sedalia police issued 19-year-old Haley Nichole Piers of Sedalia a summons and a court date for shoplifting at Walmart.

Police arrest two people for failure to appear Saturday

Saturday morning Sedalia police were dispatched to the Benton County Line for a suspect with an active Sedalia warrant. Upon arrival officers took custody of 19-year-old Raquel Mae Adkins of Kansas City Kansas, and transported her to the Pettis County jail pending an $88.50 cash only bond.

52-year-old Corey Dean Elder of Sedalia was arrested Saturday night while officers were investigating another matter. At the time of the police report he was in the Pettis County jail pending an $88.50 cash only bond for a Sedalia failure to appear warrant.
