44-year-old Sedalia man in jail on a parole violation

At 10;26 Saturday morning Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check at a residence in the 1100 block of South Osage. Upon arrival the police report states 44-year-old James Miller was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a failure to appear warrant for a parole violation. At the time of the police report Miller was being held pending charges.

Three arrests made for failure to appear during a traffic stop Saturday afternoon

Around 1:30 Saturday afternoon Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at North Stewart and West Cooper with improper license plates. Upon contact with the driver 36-year-old Machenze J.G. Capps of Sedalia and two other occupants the officer discovered they had active failure to appear warrants. Capps had a cash only bond of $50 cash only, 18-year-old William T. Cain of Sedalia had an $88.50 cash only bond, and 19-year-old Dillon Lee James of Sedalia had a $50 cash only bond. All three suspects were taken to the Pettis County jail pending their bonds.

Vehicle stop nets a Sedalia man with an active warrant

According to a Sedalia Police report at 2:30 Friday afternoon an officer observed a subject in a vehicle in the area of West Broadway and Thompson Road known to have an active warrant. Following a vehicle stop the warrant was confirmed, and 27-year-old Dylan W. Landon of Sedalia was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending a $5000 bond.

Man walks out of K-mart wearing shoes he didn’t pay for Friday afternoon

At 12:27 Friday afternoon Sedalia Police were dispatched to the K-Mart Store at 1400 South Limit on a man who reportedly put on a pair of tennis shoes, and left the store without paying for them. Arrested at the scene was 18-year-old Kendal E. Smith of Sedalia. Smith was taken to the Pettis County jail where he was booked and released pending formal charges.

18-year-old woman arrested for stealing Friday afternoon

Just after 1:30 Friday afternoon Sedalia Police arrested 18-year-old Mia S. Fraley of Sedalia on a charge of stealing. The police report states Fraley was booked and released at the Pettis County jail pending formal charges.

Thefts reported in Sedalia over the weekend

A Honda Quadracut Self propelled Lawnmower Red with a silver deck was stolen from a residence in the 1600 block of East 6th. Value of the mower was set at $500.

A Trail Camera was reported stolen in the 600 block of east 9th, that was valued at $140.

A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 900 block of West 10th. Thre police report states the window of the vehicle was down at the time of the theft.
Sedalia Police recovered a 2000 Pontiac Sunday morning, that was reported stolen in Higginsville Saturday night.
