Female victim reports a sexual assault by two suspects in Katy Park
At 4:48 this (Friday) morning the Sedalia Police took a report of a sexual assault from a female victim. According to the police report officers responded to Bothwell Regional Health Center, where the victim told them two suspects known to her sexually assaulted her in Katy Park in the 2200 block of South Grand. The police report states the suspects had not been located at the time of the report.

20-year-old Sedalia man arrested for minor in possession of alcohol

Just after 1am Saturday morning Sedalia Police received a call of a man passed out in his vehicle. Upon arrival officers made contact with the suspect 20-year-old Jamar M. Staten of Sedalia. Staten was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail on a charge of minor in possession of intoxicants (Alcohol). At the time of the police report he was being held pending a $533.50 bond.

Iowa man arrested for failure to appear

Early Saturday morning Sedalia Police arrested 21-year-old Demonta W. Francis of Clinton Iowa on a failure to appear warrant out of Sedalia. Bond on the warrant is $88.50.

Around 7:30pm Friday night Sedalia Police responded to a victim of a dog bite at Bothwell Regional Health Center. According to the police report the man was bitten in the 500 block of east 2nd.

At 6:42 this Friday morning Sedalia police took a vandalism complaint from the City of Sedalia. According to the police report, someone sprayed graffiti on the outside of the concession stand at Hausel Park.

Just before 5pm Friday afternoon Sedalia Police received  a complaint from a victim who reportedly lost or had their credit card stolen. The victim said the card had been used in several places, and the loss amounts to between $400 and $700. There were no suspects.
