Sedalia Police are investigating a stabbing in Sedalia

Early Sunday morning Sedalia Police investigated possible gunshots in the area of west 6th and Missouri Avenue. Upon arrival the officers reportedly found a large group of people in the area. A female victim was found with a stab wound to her leg. The victim was transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment. There was no information on suspected gunshots, and there were no suspects in the stabbing at news time.

Woman in Sedalia says her son has been missing for months

On Friday a female complainant filed a missing person report with the Sedalia Police Department. According to the woman she had not made contact with her son since the 26th of March. There was no other information on the incident at news time.

18-year-old arrested on three charges Wednesday night

Around 9:24 Wednesday night Sedalia Police received a call from a subject in the 1100 block of Gorrell on a disturbance. Upon arrival the officers found three subjects in a vehicle, and one of them had dried blood on her mouth. The victim was reportedly punched in the mouth cutting the inside of her lip. Arrested in the incident was 18-year-old Katelind Payge Bishop of Windsor. The police report states Bishop was taken to the Pettis County jail where she was booked and released pending formal charges of violation of a full order of protection, assault in the 3rd degree, and driving while suspended.

Traffic stop lands a 33-year-old female in jail Sunday morning

Just after Mid-night Sunday morning Sedalia police observed a vehicle with no front license plate fail to signal for a turn. Following a traffic stop at Prospect and Wilkerson the driver, 33-year-old Carrie Rachelle Galloway  of Sedalia was found to be driving while suspended. At the time of the police report she was in the Pettis County jail pending a $524.50 bond.

Domestic assault arrest reported on a 27-year-old Sedalia man

At 12:40 Friday afternoon Sedalia Police arrested 27-year-old Dylon W. Landon 0f Sedalia on a charge of 3rd degree assault.

Hit and Run suspect sought in a rear end collision in McDonald’s drive-thru

Around 10:17 Saturday morning Sedalia Police investigated an accident in the McDonald’s Drive-Thru. According to the victim a vehicle struck her vehicle in the rear in the drive-thru lane, and left without giving any information. The victim supplied the police with a description, and the license plate number of the striking vehicle. The accident is under investigation.

Identity theft reported Friday involving a family member

On Friday a victim reported a case of identity theft, that involved a member of their family. According to the victim a family member is using their identification information to get satellite TV service, and Student loans.

Thefts reported from an apartment in the 400 block of west 6th Saturday night

Saturday night a female victim reported items were missing from her apartment when she returned to it Saturday. There were no suspects, and no information was available on the missing items..
