45-year-old Sedalia man arrested on a probation violation warrant Friday

At 12:20 Friday afternoon 45-year-old Melvin L. Fahner of Sedalia was arrested on a no-bond probation violation warrant in the 600 block of South Hancock. The police report states Fahner was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending contact with his probation officer.

Homeless man arrested lying in a back yard on East 11th

Just before 5am this (Monday) morning Sedalia police responded to a trespassing complaint in the 1100 block of East 11th. According to the police report 26-year-old Mitchell W. Duncan a homeless person was found lying in the back yard of a residence. Duncan was arrested and transported to the Pettis county jail, where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending a charge of 1st degree trespassing.

Homeless man arrested for burglary, stealing and an active warrant Saturday

Around 1:40 Saturday afternoon Sedalia police conducted a subject check in the 600 block of East 9th. Upon arrival 29-year-old Shaun Christopher Morton a homeless person was found in a vacant house where a complainant said he was not supposed to be. Morton was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of 2nd degree burglary, and stealing. The police report also states a failure to appear warrant was confirmed on Morton with a bond of $88.50 cash only.

Sedalia man arrested for peace disturbance and trespassing Sunday afternoon

At 4:43 Sunday afternoon Sedalia Police investigated a disturbance in progress in the 1200 block of West 11th. Upon arrival the victim reported a suspect had entered their property, and threatened violence against them. The suspect identified as 35-year-old Travis E. Ballew was located and arrested. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a total of $566 in bonds.

17-year-old female issued a summons this (Monday) morning for stealing at Walmart

At 9:46 this (Monday) morning Sedalia Police issued a 17-year-old female suspect a summons and a court date for stealing $60 worth of merchandise from the store.

Man injured breaking up a dog fight Sunday afternoon

According to a Sedalia Police report Sunday afternoon Sedalia police responded to a residence in the 1900 block of South Kentucky on a dog fight. Upon arrival the owner of the animals had already separated them, but had received several puncture wounds in the process. The police report states the man was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment. The dogs are quarantined at the residence.

Breaktime at 808 East Broadway reported a fraudulent return in the amount of $38.97.

A black backpack, 2 jackets, and other items were found in the road in the 3700 block of West 10th.
