Just after 9pm Saturday night Sedalia police stopped a vehicle with no front license plate. During an investigation the officers found the driver and a passenger were in possession of marijuana, paraphernalia, and other dangerous non-narcotic drugs. Arrested at the scene was 28-year-old Brian Keith Johnson Jr. and 25-year-old Thomas Allen Williams. Both suspects were reportedly homeless, and were transported to the Pettis County jail where they were placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

Traffic stop results in arrest on a warrant and drug related charges Friday night

At 7:13 Friday night Sedalia Police located a suspect with an active warrant in the 600 block of North Heard. A check through dispatch confirmed the warrant, and a subsequent search revealed a large amount of methamphetamine, an illegal handgun, and drug paraphernalia. At the time of the police report the suspect identified as 37-year-old Justin Ray Shelledy of Sedalia was being held in the Pettis County Jail pending a $5,000 bond.

37-year-old Sedalia man arrested on a probation violation warrant Monday morning

Around 5:40 this (Monday) morning Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at West Main and Park with a driver with an extraditable warrant. Upon contact with the driver, 37-year-old Jason B. Warren of Sedalia, the warrant for a probation violation was confirmed on an original hit and run charge. At the time of the police report he was in the Pettis County jail pending an $898 cash/only bond.

Traffic stop late Sunday night lands a 50-year-old Sedalia man in jail

According to a Sedalia Police report at 11:25pm Sunday night Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 7th and Moniteau for several traffic violations, and an improper license with an expired registration sticker. The driver 50-year-old Donald D. Webb of Sedalia was also found to be revoked. Webb was arrested and taken to the Pettis county jail, and placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of driving while revoked, forgery, and failure to display proper license plates.

Homeless man arrested after being found lying in a yard reportedly unresponsive

At 5:19 Sunday evening Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 800 block of East 6th on an unresponsive male lying in a yard. Upon arrival personnel with the Pettis County Ambulance District were talking to the man. The police report states the man, 21-year-old Joshua David McCallister a homeless person became irate and uncooperative. A check through dispatch revealed he had a Saline County warrant. He was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $150 cash only bond.

Woman reportedly cut by a burglar early this (Monday) morning

Around 4:15 am this (Monday) morning a female victim reported she had been cut by a suspect who ran from her home following an attempted burglary. There are no suspects at news time.

Local business reports a theft Saturday morning

Saturday morning a complainant with the Buckle located in the Thompson Hills shopping Center reported two suspects stole three items valued at $110. The suspects are known in the case.
