51-year-old Homeless man arrested early Saturday Morning on a warrant

At 2:46am Saturday morning Sedalia Police responded to a burglary complaint in the 200 block of East Broadway. During a search of the area officers located 51-year-old Frank Charles Phillips a homeless person in the 100 block of Broadway. A computer check revealed that Phillips had a parole violation warrant out of Jefferson City. At the time of the police report Phillips was in the Pettis County Jail on the warrant.

Summons issued to a Sedalia man for possession of marijuana Saturday

Around 12:30 Saturday afternoon Sedalia Police responded to a residence near 18th and Limit to return property to its rightful owner according to a police report. Upon arrival the officer reportedly detected the strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the residence. The resident identified as 44-year-old Rodney E. Tyler was issued a summons and a court date for possession of marijuana.

Three loud noise calls gets a 25-year-old woman a summons Sunday evening

According to a Sedalia Police report officers were called to the same area three times Sunday on loud noise complaints in the area of East Chestnut and North Engineer. The responding officers said as he approached the area he heard a voice on a public address system, and music. The officers located the suspect house by the noise, and issued the suspect 25-year-old Dafne Vasquez a summons and a court date. The caller said they had been creating the noise all day long.

Sedalia Police respond to the address twice on robbery and assault incidents

At 3:35 Saturday morning Sedalia Police received a reported burglary in the 1900 block of South Lamine. According to the owner of the residence a suspect kicked his door in, and stole $2500 worth of items. The stolen items included a cell phone, a smoker, bicycle, laptop, clothes and other items. Just after 7pm that night the police were called to the residence. The victim reported someone kicked in the door, and struck him in the face several times. The victim gave officers the name of a suspect in the incidents, but the suspect had not been located at the time of the police report.
Cat bites woman Sunday evening

A stray cat that was foaming at the mouth reportedly bit a woman in the 400 block of West 5th Sunday Evening according to a Sedalia Police report. The woman reported the incident occurred in the 400 block of West 5th around 6:45 . The cat is described as a small black cat possibly a stray. The cat had not been caught at the time of the police report.

A 2-seater Dune Buggy Go-Cart was reported stolen in the 600 block of West Main over the weekend. According to the owner it had a value of $3000. There were no suspects at news time.

Sunday morning a victim in the 2200 block of West 2nd told the police someone poured something on their trunk that damaged the paint. There were no suspects.

Early Sunday morning a victim in the area of 18th and Sneed reported someone damaged their truck and garage door with baseball size rocks. There were no suspects.
