Sedalia police receive information on child abuse and drug activity

According to a Sedalia Police report the Sedalia Police received information from a Sedalia citizen on a situation involving a child and drug activity in another county. The police report states the Missouri Child Abuse Hotline, and the County involved was called on the case.

Man robbed Sunday Evening on James Road

Around 5:30pm Sunday evening Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence on James Road to investigate a robbery. Upon arrival the victim told the officers he was sitting in his kitchen when two-men with their faces covered entered his house, and assaulted him. The suspects then stole the man’s wallet with identification cards and around $150 in cash. At news time the suspects had not been located.

Sisters arrested after fight with each other early Sunday morning

At 2:38 Sunday morning Sedalia Police r5esponded to a reported disturbance at a house in the 800 block of East 6th.  Upon arrival officers found two females identified as sisters fighting in the living room of the home. The suspects identified as 25-year-old Anesha Nicole Sims and 25-year-old Alicia Marie Sims of the residence were arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Both women were placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of Domestic Assault 3rd degree. Alicia Sims was also being charged with resisting arrest.

Traffic stop lands a Green Ridge man in jail Sunday night

Just before 11pm Sunday night Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle on South Limit for improper registration. A check on the driver 36-year-old Jason C. Miles of Green ridge revealed he was revoked. Miles was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, and placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

Theft Complaints and found items filed with the Sedalia Police

A victim in the 1300 block of East Broadway reported the theft of a stereo, power amp, and speakers from his unlocked truck. Value of the stolen items was placed at $1200.

At 10:54pm Saturday night a victim in the 100 block of South Stewart reported the theft of a handgun. According to the victim the Hi Point model C-9 handgun with 8 or 9 bullets in it was valued at $175. The truck was reportedly unlocked at the time of the theft.

A wallet with various articles including a Social Security Card was found in the 700 block of west 3rd Friday evening. It was placed in found property according to the police report.
